Climate Change and Human Development in Croatia
What does the global dialogue on climate change mean for individual countries? Can countries “climate-proof” their socio-economic development strategies? Eco Ltd is working with the country office of an international development organization on a pilot report to address these questions in Croatia, structuring a project design workshop and supporting the development of a pilot Human Development Report focusing on climate change.
Energy services for disadvantaged communities in Hungary and Slovakia
Eco Ltd has supported the development of a project to address the energy needs of marginalized communities in Hungary and Slovakia. The project task was to develop a project document (proposal) for funding by UNDP Thematic Trust funds. Eco’s experts called upon their knowledge of the region and sustainable energy in the context of poor communities to produce a high quality and relevant project design.
Global Household Energy Market Survey
Eco compiled a report on public sector energy efficiency in more than 30 countries, identifying best practices and preparing recommendations for helping local, regional, and national governments to save energy and reduce public expenditures.
The report, which covers several regions, found that while there had been many significant improvements in public sector energy efficiency programs, there was still significant potential to save energy in nearly every area where governments were spending money for basic operations.
